About The Project:

The Design Monastery (DeMo) is a collective of designers committed to achieving the
best; A commentary on the system of design capitalism we now live in and how creatives
might find themselves involved in it, this speculative project asks the question :

“what if designers were so committed to their creative jobs that they
formed a cult of designers?” 

Outcome:

Taking inspiration from cult recruitment materials (manifestos,brochures, videos..),
this satirical project nudges viewers to reflect on their driving forces and what value
they give their careers.

Taking inspiration from cult initiation videos, the DeMo Recruitment Video serves as an introduction to the cult’s core messages.
